Translating and applying scientific discovery into research and, ultimately, patient benefit is already happening in many specialist fields in Oxford. They include:

Developing tests for diagnosis of new types of diabetes.
Basic and applied research, contributing to WHO guidelines. Increasing integration of research health education in patient care.
