Oxford Academic Health Partners

The Oxford Academic Health Partners (OAHP) is delighted to have been designated as an NIHR/NHSE/I Academic Health Science Centre following the recent competitive designation process.  The designation comes into effect from 1 April 2020 and is for an initial period of five years.

The OAHP includes Oxford Health NHS FT, Oxford University Hospitals NHS FT, Oxford Brookes University and the University of Oxford, who have been working together for the last six years and has built up an impressive body of work supporting the local needs and identified priorities.

OAHP’s vision is to respond to major challenges facing healthcare such as healthy ageing, multimorbidity and mental health, AMR and the best use of digital tools to improve care and patient self-management.

Currently all partners, their staff, their facilities and their skills and expertise are being used to deal with overcome the COVID-19 crisis.  Daily examples of good work in this area can be seen across the media, with partners joining colleagues across the UK and beyond.
