Nick De Pennington, Digital Innovation & Population Health Lead, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.  Nick is the OUH Digital Innovation & Population Health Lead at Oxford University Hospitals NHS FT, responsible for development of digital health innovation pathways, launching open interoperability (SMART on FHIR) solutions and leading implementation of regional digital population health systems for large, acute, academic hospital group. Nick is a Board member of Thames Valley & Surrey Local Health and Care Record Exemplar (LHCRE) programme (integrating health and care for population of 3.8M people), and a representative on NHS England LHCRE Clinical Advisory Group.
Nick is one of NHS England’s Clinical Entrepreneurs building on his work as one of the founds of The Hill, digital health innovation lab working with members of the Oxford Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) to help identify needs, support innovators, incubate businesses and accelerate access to the Oxford health ecosystem. In addition, Nick is the CEO of Ufonia, a digital health start-up company developing voice-based robotic-process-automation for the management of long-term conditions.

Nick is a former Neurosurgery Specialist Registrar at Oxford University Hospitals NHS FT having studied medicine at Cambridge and Oxford.

Megan Morys-Carter, Programme Director, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Megan is Programme Director of the Hill, Oxford’s Digital Health innovation ecosystem, and founder of OxLaunch, created to enable the use of entrepreneurship as a force for good. She has previously directed the Centre for Entrepreneurship at the University of Oxford, helped set up the Oxford Foundry and has worked in the private sector with SMEs and start-ups and as an innovation partner for blue-chip companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Shell and Boeing. Megan worked on adoption of innovation into the NHS and the MAPPs drug licensing pathway during her time with CASMI (the Centre for the Advancement of Sustainable Medical Innovation). Megan sits on the Board of The Oxford Trust, an independent charitable trust working across enterprise and innovation; science education; and public engagement with science. Megan was a keen volunteer with St John Ambulance for over a decade and now holds voluntary roles with the angel network OION and Oxford Startups, Oxford’s biggest startup meetup group. Megan is particularly interested in early stage entrepreneurship, investment readiness, startup ecosystems and systems change.

 

Flora Hatahintwali,  Project Manager, Oxford Academic Health Science Network (AHSN)

Flo joined the Oxford AHSN’s Strategic and Industry Partnerships team in November 2018. She previously worked as a project manager in nanotechnology company. Prior to that Flo spent ten years as a forensic scientist.

 

Adele Carvalho,  Digital Innovations Officer, Oxford University Hospitals NHS  Foundation Trust

Adele joined the Hill in 2018 after many years as a senior Executive Assistant to a number of Executive Directors of the Oxford University Hospitals.  She brings a wealth of experience in the day to day workings of the OUH.  She is the first point of contact for The Hill.
