National survey reveals big reductions in COVID-19 infections with single dose of Oxford-AZ and Pfizer vaccines

Data from the COVID-19 Infection Survey, a partnership between the University of Oxford, the Office of National Statistics (ONS) and the Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC), is the first to show the impact of vaccination on antibody responses and new infections in a large group of adults from the general population aged 16 years and older.  The study was led by Professor of Medical Statistics and Epidemiology (Nuffield Department of Medicine) and senior NIHR Oxford BRC researcher Professor Sarah Walker.

This major community surveillance survey, one of the NIHR’s COVID-19 urgent public health studies, is a partnership between the University of Oxford, the Office of National Statistics (ONS) and the Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC).
